How to dry maca?

Maca is rich in nutrients and has a nourishing effect on the human body. The Baixin maca dryer can be divided into multiple drying stages, drying fresh maca at medium and low temperatures, so that the maca can be dried better. Dry Maca will not change any of its nutritional value. The scent of maca is preserved and it tastes better.
First, clean the maca. If the output is large, it is recommended to use a professional maca cleaning machine.
The first stage: As the water content of maca is still high, set the drying temperature at 35°C-45°C, humidity 30%, and drying time 24 hours.
The second stage: Set the drying temperature at 55°C-60°C, humidity 38%, and drying time 12 hours. A large amount of water is discharged at this stage.
In the third stage, the temperature is cooled to between 45°C-55°C, and the humidity is adjusted at 35% until the drying is completed, and the weight after drying drops to 25-30% of the fresh fruit.
If you use a large-volume mesh belt dryer, the drying time is 5-10 hours.
When dried maca come into direct contact with air, they will regain moisture, so a sealed package is required. If you use vacuum packaging, you can better preserve the color and aroma of maca.
