How to dry onion?

Onion is good anti-aging food. After the onions are dried, they are ground into onion powder, which can be used as a condiment. Baixin onion dryer dries fresh onions at low and medium temperatures, which can better dry onions. Dried onions will not change any of their nutritional value. The scent of onion is preserved, and the taste is better.

First, remove the head, tail, and peel onions. If the output is large or an automatic onion production line is needed, it is recommended to use a professional onion head, tail, and peel machine.

Wash the onions to ensure that the onions are clean. If the output is large or a fully automatic onion production line, it is recommended to use a professional onion bubble cleaner to complete it.

Cut the onion into small pieces of about 5-8 mm or according to your needs. A professional onion slicer can meet high-volume slices.

Put the onion slices on the tray, and then put the tray into the onion dryer. (If you use a large-volume onion multilayer mesh belt onion dryer, you can realize automatic feeding.)

Set the temperature to 60°C and humidity to 10%, and turn on the dryer.

After drying for 4-8 hours, you can open the door of the dryer and check whether the dried onions can meet your requirements.(If you use a large-volume continuous multi-layer mesh belt onion dryer, the drying can be completed in 0.5-2 hours.)

Then you can decide to work for a while or finish the work.

Different onion thickness will have different drying time, the thinner, the shorter the drying time. Dried onion slices will regain moisture when in direct contact with air, so they need to be sealed and packaged. If you use vacuum packaging, you can better preserve the color and fragrance of onion slices.
